Interfaith Relations

Inter-religious dialogue, as Pope Francis has said, is not a luxury in today’s world, but a necessity.

The Archdiocese of Sydney maintains relationships with members of other faith traditions, not simply because we must, however, but, in the words of the Historian E.H. Carr, ‘If we can widen the range of experiences beyond what we as individuals have encountered, if we can draw upon the experiences of others… then – although there are no guarantees – our chances of acting wisely should increase proportionately’

ACEIR hosts events, engages in dialogue, and cooperates with people from all faith and cultural traditions. Below are links to resources and important organisations working in this area. You can also go to the ‘Projects’ tab on our website to some of the work we are undertaking in this important area.
